The Reason for the Season

We celebrate the birth of Jesus more than the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In my opinion, this should not be. Yes Jesus came to the world (His birth) but He came for a purpose (to save humanity). His mission was accomplished when He went to the cross, died and resurrected. That was what changed our destiny forever. The salvation and redemption of mankind has been planned for from the beginning. It was not an after thought and the devil did not know he was only working for the fulfilment of the God’s ultimate agenda because nothing can be done against the truth, but for the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8).

Acknowledging and celebrating Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection means recognizing the fall of Adam and Eve at the beginning. It means putting Jesus at the centre of everything and giving Him everything. Jesus is the Reason for the season. As we commemorate this Easter, Let Jesus be the Centre of all. May the resurrection and life become evident in your life inJesus name.
