Messy but Beautiful (V)
‘…Trust in the Lord…Proverbs 3:5a [NKJV]
Bible Reading: Mark 9:1-10
Our Bible reading today proves that God is the Porter and we are the clay. No matter how messy the clay may be, the Porter can make the best out of it. There is no better word to describe the madman in Gerasenes; his life was in a mess to the point that his dwelling place was a cemetry. We did not know his full story but I am sure he must have had a family at some point, maybe a decent house to live in; perhaps he was married with a wife and children before the predicament came upon Him. Perhaps when his situation became unbearable and unsolvable for his family, they left him and he turned into a full-fledged madman.
The story changed when he countered Jesus. Jesus commanded the legion of demons that were inside the man and the man regained his sanity and sensibility in the name of Jesus. Dear friends, you need to trust Jesus and speak to that mountain to move in the name of Jesus. Pray concerning that your messy situation encounter Jesus and see God move on your behalf. Jesus had compassion on the madman and healed him. Do you think God is not interested in you?
Daily Confession: Lord Jesus thank you. Please help us to trust you even as we call upon your name to answer us in Jesus name.
Intercessory Prayer: Pray for God’s intervention for the oppressed, helpless, addict and homeless. May God encounter their lives and heal them.
Hymn: Rock of ages cleft for me
Let me hide myself in Thee x2
