God’s Standard (II)

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, “The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ departfrom iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19 KJV

Bible Reading: Romans 6:1-14

The message of Christ Jesus is that of grace. It teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions, and live self-controlled, upright and godly life in this present age (Titus 2:11-14).

Is your lifestyle pleasing unto the Lord? Can people see you and glorify your heavenly Father? Does worldly passion, lust, pride of life, and works of flesh evident in your life? Is your life reveals a form of godliness but denies the power therein? Do you profess you love God but you disobey Him? If your response is yes to these questions, then Jesus is calling you today.

If you are in Christ, you are a new creation and old things have passed away, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17-18), and God’s seed is in you so you cannot sin. Dear friends, in case you are yet to know accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. God desires that you return to Calvary so that you can truly be cleansed. Rely on the Holy Spirit because by your strength you can do nothing.

Daily Confession: Lord have mercy on me and save me from my iniquities; purge me and search me to remove any unclean thing in me in Jesus name (Psalm 51:7-12)!

Intercessory prayer: Pray for the homeless in your city for a change in their conditions.

Hymn: Is there a heart that is waiting,

Longing for pardon today?

Hear the glad message proclaiming,

Jesus is passing this way.
