Faith Dares – In Conclusion

For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. Romans 14:23c

Bible Reading: John 6:28-29

We have been examining the Faith Dares series for the past few days. We explored themes that concern salvation, both spiritual and physical needs, because God is concerned about every aspect of our lives. As we wrap up this series, I would love us to treasure the infallible word of God, God’s mightiness, the Presence of the Holy Spirit and the immeasurable gifts of Christ Jesus. All these and more can only be accessed by faith in Jesus. Faith is the only work required of us as Christians: “Jesus answered, “the work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent” (John 6:29). The patriarchs and matriarchs of faith were not recognized or commended for the number of their deeds but for the quality of their exploits through faith (Hebrew 11). Dear friends, do you have faith in Christ Jesus? A man or woman of faith is a person of God’s word because faith comes from hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17). I encourage you to make God’s word your friend. May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened so that you might grow in your knowledge of God and take Him at His word. As we bring this series to a close, I invite us to end where we began with Jesus’ response: “This is the work of God: that you believe [adhere to, trust in, rely on, and have faith] in the One whom He has sent” John 6:29 (AMP)

Daily Confession: Lord Jesus, I believe; help my unbelief.

Intercessory prayer: Choose someone you know needs the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Hymn: Ancient word, ever true

Changing me and changing you

We have come with open heart

Oh let the ancient impart.
