End of Year Reflection and Evaluation (III)
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:29
Bible Reading: Daniel 9:2
As children of God, we have pulpits to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ outside the church building. Our pulpit is our profession; what we for living. Through our occupation and our profession, we can be true representatives of Christ Jesus and bring others to the knowledge of HIm. As we diligently engage both hard and soft skills, we can shine forth the light of Jesus. No wonder the Bible says “let your light shine before men that they will see your good works and glorify your father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Dear friends, have you grown in your profession this year? What skills have you gained? I encourage you to carefully consider your input at work this year. Did you perform the tasks you were assigned diligently without mistakes? Like Daniel did you learn by books? Did you attend any course that sharpened your skills? Did you engage your profession as a platform for the kingdom of God? Growth in your professional journey can bring others to appreciate your work and you can in turn use that opportunity to direct them to Jesus. May God bless you as you examine this aspect of your journey.
Daily Confession: Lord teach me to number my days that I may gain a heart of wisdom in Jesus name.
Intercessory prayer: Pray for God’s protection over as many who will have to travel during this end of the year.
Hymn: Ancient words ever true
Changing me and changing you
We have come with open heart
Oh let the Ancient Word impart
