At Your Word (III)
“It is the same with my word. I send it out. and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it” (Isaiah 55:11, NLT)
Bible Reading: Isaiah 55:10-11
Yesterday we discussed the need to spend quality time with God’s word because faith comes from hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17). God’s word cannot fail because God is faithful and His word is true (2 Corinthians 1:20; 2 Samuel 7:28). God’s word is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). If something is not working in your life, get God’s word involved and if everything is working, keep it going with the word of God. Whatever you struggle with, get into God’s word, and your life will be transformed. Finally, remember, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Self-Reflection: When was the last time you deliberately studied God’s word without any external push?
Daily Confession: Lord help me to actively seek your word to guide my life in Jesus’ name.
Intercessory prayer: I pray for unction, wisdom and anointing for the leaders in my church in Jesus’ name
Hymn: Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
