The Father’s Touch
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. (Isaiah 55:6, NIV)
Bible Reading: John 5:1-8
The Father’s love necessitates His mercy, favour and grace. I am grateful that God reigns in the affairs of men (Daniel 4:17). God is merciful and wants the best for His children. One touch from God is all you need in your life. God’s touch can come in the form of a word from the Bible, a revelation, an encouragement from brethren, prayers and a kind gesture. One touch from God will bring the miraculous into your life. Our Bible reading today is about the man by the pool of Bethesda. He encountered Jesus and his life was never the same. The protocol for healing at the pool of Bethesda was that an angel would stir up the water at appointed seasons. The first one to go in after the water was stirred was healed of his/her disease. The pool became a gathering site for people with different infirmities. Jesus came to the pool and he saw a man who has been ill for thirty-eight years. Jesus noticed the man was lying there with no help and knowing that the man has been there for a long time, Jesus walked up to him and asked if he wanted to be healed. Jesus healed the man. Dear friends, no matter your situation, a touch from God will change your life. Seek the Lord today!
