Daily Devotional – ‘In His Footstep’

Lord Fix Me
I will not speak with you much longer, for the ruler of the world (Satan) is coming. And he has no claim on Me [no power over Me nor anything that he can use against Me]. (John 14:30, AMP)
Bible Reading: John 30-31
Today’s word is a clarion call for us to cry to God for a fix. If there are any little foxes in your life, it is better you deal with them now before they deal with you. Jesus is our perfect example. In our Bible reading, Jesus boldly declares his power over the flesh. It means Jesus did not have anger, laziness, procrastination and pride etc that the prince of this world could point to in Jesus. No wonder Jesus is our perfect example, and Apostle Paul had to direct us to Him, saying, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). Dear friend, whatever you need to cry to God to fix in your life, do not hesitate to call upon His name today. Whatever you need to change in your lifestyle for the fruit of the spirit to find full expression in your life, change it today. I encourage you to spend more time in God’s word and in prayers. Obey God because that is the source of our transformation as children of God. Finally, please feel free to seek help in the right place (such as counselling) if you need such, and allow the Holy Spirit to truly guide you.
Daily Confession: Lord, fix me.
Intercessory prayer: Pray for your children for the light of God to shine and dispel any darkness in your city in Jesus’ name.
Hymn: This little light of mine.
I’m going to let it shine (x3)
