Do Not Be Discouraged (VII)

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him. Exodus 10:1

Bible Reading: Exodus 6

The story continues. Moses had a tough time with Pharaoh. Ofcourse, we knew God hardened his heart to showforth Hs glory. Indeed, God’s manifest acts were displayed. And the events that led to the Exodus of God’s people out of Egypt made other nations feared the people of Israel. The testimony strengthened generations of Israelites to come and it’s a source of hope for us even till today. Your act of obedience today amidst the discouragement will become a testimony that will bless others in the future. So how do I address discouragement? First, it takes courage to do anything meaningful and extraordinary. Secondly, our source of courage and confidence has to come from God. Moses would always call to God in the midst of the challenges. His response was consistent and reminds us of the need to draw strength from the Source of our courage, which is God. Thirdly, Moses relied on God’s word. He would always tarry in God’s presence to pray, to hear His word and enjoy God’s presence. Finally, have a possibility mindset that is rooted in God’s word and God-centered. Dear friends, Clcontinue to encourage yourself in the Lord and let the life of Moses bless you.

Daily Confession: I encourage myself in the Lord.

Intercessory prayer: We pray for encouragement for anyone who may be discouraged due to situations around them in Jesus’ name.

Hymn: Lord, lift me up and let me stand,

By faith, on Heaven’s table land,

A higher plane than I have found;

Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
