God’s Presence (IV)

He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. (Psalm 103:7, AMP)

Bible Reading: Exodus 34

God’s acts are great! Who does not love it when God show up in His miraculous way in their lives? Recently, a family shared a testimony of how God protected them from homelessness. Mistakenly, they had their electric stove on while they were leaving for work in the morning around 8:30am. When they returned from work around 5pm they perceived the smell of smoke around their house. They entered their door and realized that their stove has been on for nine hours. However the miraculous happened. Their vent was switched on (at the highest) and their was no damage to the house except the smoke smell, which they had to opened their windows to let it out. Who switched on the vent for them? No one could explain! Who contained the smoke that the house did not explode? That’s God’s miraculous intervention! It was an angelic intervention which is unexplainable especially because the vent attached to the wall of their stove was not plugged to the electricity socket. That’s God’s miracle! Like this family, the children of Israel experienced the miraculous. From the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night, to the parting of the Red Sea, the provision of Manna and quail, and water from the rock, etc. These acts were meant to make the Israelities believe in God and seek His ways. Dear friend, God’s acts are evident everyday in our lives– from the mundane to the extraordinary. Let’s acknowledge God’s acts and be inspired to see His ways and to know Him.

Action Point: Acknowledge God’s acts in your life and seek His face.

Intercessory Prayer: We pray for your mercy over our nations. Guide our leaders aright and help them to surrender their will unto You in Jesus name.

Hymn: Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,

That saved a wretch; like me!

I once was lost, but now am found,

Was blind, but now I see
