Faithful Intercessors

Be faithful to pray as intercessors who are fully alert and giving thanks to God. Colossians 4:2 TPT

Bible Reading: Colossians 4:2-6

As Christians, we are meant to be intercessors. Faithful and reliable intercessors. Prayer isn’t our last resort but our first response to all things. We have an amazing opportunity to show forth the God’s power to save, deliver, heal, and intervene. We are active participants in the plan and purposes of God here on earth. Through prayers, we can pray ‘Thy kingdom come, Thy will be on earth as it is in heaven’ Matthew 6:10. Prayer is the key. Through intercession, we are living the life of love. It takes love to invest one’s time in praying for others. We are called to love and prayer is a practical way to lead a life a love. Apostle Paul encourages the Colossians, and by extension, believers to be faithful to intercession. Dear friends “Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving.” (Colossians 4:2, AMP)

Intercessory Prayer: Pray for someone today.

Hymn: Oh, how praying rests the weary!

Pray’r will change the night to day;

So when life seems dark and dreary,
