With God… (I)

For by You I can crush a troop, And by my God I can leap over a wall. Psalm 18:29 AMP

Bible Reading: Proverbs 18:21

Over the years, I have formed some habits in my life. One of such habits is making Word-inspired declarations over my life. This is because the power of life and death lies on our tongue. I start some of my declarations and confessions this way: ‘With God, I can do all things’, ‘With God nothing is impossible’, ‘With God I am blessed’ etc. It has moved beyond a declaration to a lifestyle. It has changed my perspective, attitude, mindset, outlook to life and inspired faith in me. It has transformed my understanding of who I am and it has brought me closer to God because I continue to acknowledge God in my life. Here are some of the implications of this declaration for me: If it is indeed ‘with God’, then I have to know Him and continue to abide in Him and His word. I have to live a life that pleases Him. I have to rely on His Spirit (the Holy Spirit) to help me daily. I have to seek Him daily. I have to acknowledge Him. I have to present my body as a living sacrifice. I have to trust Him and be ready to be led by Him. I have to be diligent in whatever I’m doing. Dear friends, I encourage you to speak God’s verdict over your life starting with the phrase, ‘With God…’
