Are You in Agreement?

When Moses went and told the people all the Lord’s words and laws, they responded with one voice, Everything the Lord has said we will do. Exodus 24:3

Bible Reading: Exodus 24:1-4

Moses heard from God for the people of Israel. He was the Lord’s prophet that mediated between God and the Israelites. He heard God’s instructions; spoke with God onbehalf of the Israelites, and delivered God’s counsel. The children of Israel will always respond positively after hearing God’s counsel. They would say, “everything the Lord has said we will do”. Literally, it meant total agreement and submission to God’s will and dictate. If you read the accounts of the people of Israel, they did contrary to their vow.

How often are we committed to agreeing with God verbally but disagree with Him in actions? Many people tremble when they hear God’s word, make resolutions on what they won’t do again, and like the Children of Israel they will say that all the Lord has said they will do but later go contrary. God desires that we agree with Him beyond the words from lips. Our agreement should be seen in our daily lives. Don’t promise to share God’s word alone, evangelize wherever God takes you, let your agreement to God’s word propel you into action in every area. God bless you.
