Capacity for More IV
I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (KVJ)
Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 11:24-33
If we want to accomplish all that God has planned for us, then we have to come to the end of ourselves. We have to realize our inabilities and allow God work in and through us. This is one of the secrets of Jesus. Jesus says “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me” (John 5:30). In alignment with Jesus acknowledgment and reliance on the Father’s ability and capability, Apostle Paul in our memory verse declares “I can do all things through Christ that strengths me” (Philippines 4:13). He also says in 2 Corinthians 3:5 KJV “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” and “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13 KJV). Our Bible reading today outlines Apostle Paul’s remarkable journey: he was beaten, shipwrecked, imprisoned, in peril of different people etc. Yet he achieved tremendously for God because he realized that his abilities and grace to do more for God is from Him. Dear friends, the need to rely on God cannot be overemphasized. Draw strength and courage from His word, watch and pray and obey every of His command will help us utilize God’s grace for His glory. May God help us!
Action Point: Desire more of God and express your appetite for more of God by seeking Him daily
Daily Confession: Lord God I need you. I receive strength and courage for the journey ahead knowing that you are in-charge and your grace is sufficient for me in Jesus name.
Intercessory prayer: Pray for your colleagues as the Holy Spirit directs you.
Hymn: I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Canaan’s tableland;
A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
