Faith Dares

For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. Romans 14:23c

Bible Reading: John 6:28-29

The Christian faith is a journey of faith from start to end. “Faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]” Hebrews 11:1 (AMP). It is the confidence that what we hope for will happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. God is the source of all. Our faith in Him through Jesus Christ gives us God’s approval and acceptance. The fathers of faith recorded in Hebrews 11 were not recognized or commended for the number of their deeds but for the quality of their exploits through faith. Dear friends, do you have faith in Christ Jesus? What’s the quality of your faith? Do you continually shift grounds like the wind unstable and unsure? How faithful and committed are you to the journey of faith in Christ Jesus? Do you see faith only as access to earthly possessions? How diligent are you to the word of God since faith comes by hearing, by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17)? How invested are you in training yourself to imbibe the right Christian disciplines for growth? As we embark on a new series titled Faith Dares, may God open the eyes of our understanding. May our hearts be spurred to daringly take leaps of faith-throwing our lives and all that we are into this limitless God. God bless you. Amen!
