Faith Dares – Salvation

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)

Bible Reading: Ephesians 2:1-10

The Christian faith is founded and rooted upon a sure foundation, Jesus Christ. It is not vague, and neither is it established on thin air. To confirm this, after healing a lame man, which led to the growth in the number of those who believed to about five thousand, Peter and John were questioned by the elders and teachers of the law; “By what power or what name did you do this?” Their reply was succinct: “Jesus is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.” Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to humankind by which we must be saved.”Acts 4:11-12 (NIV). This points out that becoming a child of God is by faith in the Lord Jesus. Jesus Christ is the gift of and from God. Believing in the redemptive work of Christ is a daring faith. Faith in the saving grace of Jesus Christ is the solid foundation upon which other things are built. Apostle Paul says, “And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” Hebrews 11:6 (NIV). More so, “to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God” John 1:12 (NLT). It takes a leap of faith in Jesus Christ to be saved. It is through our faith in Jesus that a sinner is transformed into a saint. Dear friends, “for blessed are those who have not seen but yet believe” (John 20:29). Come to Jesus today!

Self-Reflection: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 (NIV)
