God’s Presence

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all who were listening to the message. (Acts 10:44, AMPC)

Bible reading: Acts 10:44-48

God’s presence is crucial for every believer. The manifestation of God’s presence and power is readily available for every child who asks and pay the price required. For example, Moses knew the importance of God’s presence and he boldly insisted that if God’s presence doesn’t go with him, he will go no where. In our Bible reading, the Holy Spirit fell upon those listening to Apostle Peter as he spoke. We need God’s presence and the manifestation of His power. There is a price to pay. God’s power doesn’t come without any responsibility from our end. First, we have to have faith in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. We have to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts. 1:8) and be in a constant fellowship with God. As we continue to walk with God through prayer, word (let God’s word dwell in you richly), and obedience to his instruction per time, we will be in tune to His Presence and we can trust Him to work first in us and through us for His glory.

Daily Confession: I pray that God’s presence abide with me in Jesus name.

Intercessory Prayer: Pray for your children for grace to be obedient first to God and to those the Lord places over them to guide and instruct them. Pray that the Lord will guide their mentors and teachers.

Hymn: Trust and obey

For there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus,

Than to trust and obey.
