He That Dwells (III)

Because He has set his love upon Me… Psalm 91:14a

Bible Reading: John 14:15-17

The verse I want us to examine today is Because He has set his love upon Me… Psalm 91:14a

What an interesting thing to set our love upon the Lord. To set our love upon God means God is our priority, our first love and the treasure of our heart. Where your treasure is, there your heart lies (Matthew 6:21). If you are in love with someone, you always want to spend quality time with the person. You do not only think about that person, but you also want to do everything to please the person. You give your total attention and devotion to make that person happy. This is what it means to set our love upon God. It means obedience to His command (John 14:15). Here is how Jesus puts it: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39).

Dear friends, do you love God? Then keep His commandments. Did you know that “all thingwork together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28)? Did you also know that eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (1 Corinthians 2:9)? At KSi, we encourage you to make Jesus Christ your only priority. And if you need to decide to accept Jesus Christ, do it today!

Daily Confession: May I set my love on Jesus; may He be the Centre of my focus and may my attention be on Him forever.
