Hide In God Forever.

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee; hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be past. Isaiah 26:20

Bible Reading: Psalm 91:1-16

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” Psalm 91:1. Dwelling in God’s secret place and abiding in His presence is what every genuine child of God should desire. I am yet to see a man who has a great relationship with his father not wanting to visit and spend some time with his father? Love compels us to spend quality time with the one whom we love. This can be a friend, your spouse, parents or anyone dear to your heart. In the same vein, as children of God, we are called to dwell in the secret place of our Heavenly Father and abide under His wings. That is our place of safety, deliverance, rest and abundant provision.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many people to stay at home and even work from home in some cases. Many have not been able to go to their local churches and have had services online or no church service at all. I believe this is a time for God’s children all over the world to seek God like never before, in the closet of our rooms. I believe this is a time to spend quality time before God as individuals and in our families. Christ is coming for a glorious church, without blemish or wrinkle. Are you prepared?

Self-Reflection: Hide in God and take shelter under His protective wings.

Daily Confession: Lord, I thank you for the security of your presence, the abundance of your grace. Please keep me and my loved ones safe during this pandemic and cover us with your feathers.

Intercessory prayer: Pray for those who are experiencing mental and emotional challenges due to the global pandemic for God’s restoration, healing and assurance of His love for them.

Hymn: Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Save me from its guilt and power.
