Let There Be Light
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16
Bible Reading: John 1:1-9
Light is good and important. Where light dwells, there is clarity and orderliness. In the context of the word of God, light can symbolize God’s, Presence, revelation and illumination. Light can also mean insight into something and a positive response about something. Just as the Bible made us understand, light dispels darkness (John 1:5). God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). I pray that may God’s light dispel any darkness that may be in your life in the name of Jesus. Have you ever been in gross darkness before? It is not good. Apart from the fact that there is confusion and chaos , bad things happen in the dark because enemies use darkness as a cover to perpetuate evil (Psalm 91:5). Praise be to God who has made provision for His children through Jesus Christ. No matter the darkness you may be experiencing, when Jesus Christ steps in, light appears. God speaking through prophet Isaiah captures this truth in our memory verse today: “I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight” (Isaiah 42:16b). Darkness may be real but more real is the Light which is Jesus Christ. Dear friends, Jesus can only come and establish His light if you invite Him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour. I encourage you to embrace His work of redemption today so that His light can shine. If you have given your life to Him, live in righteousness and holiness and call upon the name of Jesus.
Daily Confession:  I declare the light of Jesus in my life and that of my family in the name of Jesus. I terminate anything that constitute darkness and call forth light in Jesus name.
Intercessory prayer: Pray for God’s light over your friends, colleagues, city and your church.
Hymn: Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.
