Meet Thy Creator

He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth- the Lord God Almighty is his name. Amos 4:13

Bible Reading: Romans 11:33-36

God is the Creator of all things. Human’s ability and capacity to create different things is because he is made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:28). From the book of Genesis to revelation, God’s unending capacity to create is obvious. In fact, you don’t have to turn to the book of Genesis alone before you see God’s inventions and innovations, they are evident in our lives. In today’s reading, prophet Amos rightly presents God’s unfathomable creative power to us. He used words like form‚ create‚ make, and tread/turn. These words are majestic, powerful, authoritative, and significant. Amos captured God’s divine power to create even from nothing; His authority in heaven and on earth, and His willingness to step into any situation for a total turn around. For a reader of this devotional today, God is stepping into your situation to intervene. He is making a way where there seems to be no way, and removing every stumbling block your way so that you can live for Him. He is shining light in the midst of darkness and bringing every high places low because He is the Almighty God. God is still doing creative things and creative ways for His children. I encourage you to call on His name today in holiness for He is always ready to listen and answer us whenever we call.
