Messy but Beautiful (I)
‘And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.’ Romans 8:28 [NKJV]
Bible Reading: Jeremiah 18:1-4
Dear heavenly Father I pray that as we start this new series, ‘Messy but beautiful’, may you open our eyes to see Jesus in our circumstances, to see the beauty you are making out of our mess so that we may trust You and yield to you in Jesus name, amen.
God can make something beautiful out of the mess of your life if you can surrender unto Him. He is the Porter and we are the clay. The Bible is full of messy people whom God used for His glory. Who would have thought that Jesus’ early path would be connected to Rahab, the prostitute? (Matthew 1:5). How about Apostle Paul who devoted his life to persecuting those in the Way (Jesus Christ) before God arrested him on his way to Damascus?
What do you consider as mess in your life? Is it your relationship, family, career, health etc? Or did you make mistakes that have turned your journey into the mess it is now? Jesus is able to turn things around and make beauty out of your ashes only if you turn everything over to Him. Only if you can surrender unto Him and obey Him. Only if you can let Him be the Lord over your life and your Saviour.
Daily Confession: Here I am today Jesus, remember me. I give myself unto You, make something beautiful out of my life.
Intercessory prayer: pray for those who have given up on their lives and are contemplating on committing suicide. May God encounter their lives in Jesus name.
Hymn: knowing you Jesus, knowing you
There is no greater thing,
You’re my all, you’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
And I love you Lord
