Daily Devotional – ‘In His Footstep’
April 1st 2023
New Beginning, New Attitude
Who among you is wise and intelligent? Let him by his good conduct show his [good] deeds with the gentleness and humility of true wisdom. (James 3:13, AMP)
Bible Reading: Nehemiah 4
It is the beginning of a new quarter. A new beginning because it is never too late to start. No matter what happened in the first three months of the year, God is giving us another opportunity for us to start afresh. In our Bible reading today, we see Nehemiah working tirelessly to complete the building of the wall of Jerusalem. Despite the opposition, he was determined to finish strong. He worked with different people, and together God achieved His purpose through them. Today’s word is an encouragement to a reader of this devotional, embrace a fresh start and let your attitude change. If Nehemiah allowed the vehement rebellion from Sanballat and Tobiah to get to him, perhaps he would not have completed God’s assignment. Dear friends, I encourage you to focus on the goal. Regardless of the opposition, show good deeds with gentleness and humility of true wisdom from God. I pray for a new perspective for godly living in Jesus’ name.
Self-Reflection: Check your attitude.
Daily Confession: I pray for renewed strength and a fresh godly perspective to fulfil God’s purpose in Jesus’ name.
Intercessory prayer: Pray for healing for the household of God.
Hymn: Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness,
And all these things
Shall be added unto you
Allelu, Alleluia!
