Praise God with Your Breath
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. (Psalm 150:6, NIV).
Bible Reading: Psalm 150
God is faithful. And we have to be grateful. The Psalmist admonishes us to praise God in everything and everywhere (Psalm 66:8). In another verse, King David writes, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” (Psalm 115:1). Among other things, the book of Psalm is a masterpiece when it comes to thanksgiving and gratitude. For instance, in Psalm 34, the Psalmist writes, “I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart” (Psalm 34:1). If you look at your life, you have every reason to praise the Lord. Praise Him for His love, mercy, grace, protection, provision, revelation, relationship and freedom. Praise Him for your friends, pastors, and family members. And praise Him for everyone involved in writing and disseminating this devotional. Finally, praise Him for your life here on earth and in eternity.
