Pray Against Every Evil Scheme
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:17).
Bible Reading: 1 Kings 21
I pray that any evil scheme against your life is thwarted in Jesus’ name. Every agenda of the enemies over your life is cancelled in Jesus’ name. Today’s devotional is an instruction to someone to pray. Pray against every evil scheme of men against your life. The story of Naboth is truly moving. It shows the extent some people can go to do evil. It also reveals to us that we have to pray and declare the word of God. Summarily, King Ahab requested Naboth’s garden. Naboth refused the king’s offer because he wanted to protect his inheritance and ancestry. However, Naboth’s response left King Ahab unhappy. As the childish king who was, King Ahab got home and started throwing tantrums– refused to get up from the bed, turned away his face, and refused to eat. Jezebel, the evil wife, decided to intervene after she heard about what happened. She schemed against Naboth. Naboth was stoned to death, and King Ahab took ownership of the vineyard. Dear friend, I encourage you to pray the following word of God: “In righteousness, you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:14-17).
