Prayer is the Key

In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety. Hebrews 5:7, KJV

Bible Reading: John 17

The Bible is full of instances about Jesus praying. Jesus prayed. Jesus prayed alone and at times He took His disciples to pray. He taught His disciples how to pray (Matthew 6:9-13). Most times He would wake up very early to pray in solitude (Luke 11:1-4). He also prayed in public. Jesus knew the importance of prayers. He communicated with His Father through prayer. He addressed many issues through prayer. He reinforced God’s agenda through prayer. Jesus knew that prayer is the key, so expect prayed. He was empowered in the place of prayer. Like Jesus, we have to pray. In fact, we must pray concerning anything and everything. For the next few days we will be considering the subject of prayer. I encourage you to study and also pray along with us. God bless you.

Daily Confession: I receive grace to pray in Jesus’ name.

Intercessory prayer: I pray for renewal of faith and hope for anyone who may have given up on life and on faith.

Hymn: Oh, how praying rests the weary!

Prayer will change the night to day.

So, when life gets dark and dreary,

Don’t forget to pray.
