Present It To God
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
Bible Reading: Matthew 26:36-56
If you are not yet praying, start praying. If you are already praying, pray more! Prayer is the key and it works. Pray for everything, pray at all time, pray in all situation and pray with all your heart. Jesus showed us what it means to pray and he taught his disciples how to pray (Matthew 6:9-13). He was particular about everything including prayer. He understood the importance of prayer and he sought God’s face in solitary place many times early in the morning and at times throughout the whole night (Luke 6:12; Matthew 14:23). On one of the occasions when Jesus prayed, we had the opportunity to hear the content of his prayer— at the garden of Gethsemane. He prayed the prayer of alignment to the divine will of God because even though the spirit may be willing, the flesh needs the divine empowerment to do the will of God (Matthew 26:41). And Jesus was ministered to by angels as He prayed. We live in a generation that’s arrogant and this shows in our non-chalant attitude to prayer. But we can change this by simply praying in the name of Jesus, the only name through which we must be saved (Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9-11). We will be more effective in our walk with God if we can devote ourselves more to prayer because the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous avails much (James 5:16b). Dear friends, you need to pray. Pray for everything because prayer is a spiritual action that reveals our reliance on God. It helps us to build relationship with God and as we pray, we are building up our most holy faith (Jude 1:20). How can you pray in the name of Jesus when you don’t know the person of Jesus? Here’s another invitation if you are yet to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. Accept Jesus today! At KSi, we encourage you to pray now, pray today and pray everyday!
