Rejoice and Be Thankful

And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away. Nehemiah 12:43 (ESV)

Bible Reading: Nehemiah 12

No matter the circumstance we are facing, we can be thankful that God’s mercy endures forever and God’s faithfulness prevails in every situation. For instance, apart from His provision, protection, direction, intervention, favour and mercy etc, God always positions the right people to help rebuild even broken walls in our hearts. No wonder God satisfies us with good so that our youth is renewed like the eagles. What a special privilege this is!

Let us sing of His praises because He is our deliverer. It is important we testify of God’s faithfulness that endures forever. There is no one like Him in heaven and on earth. He who looks upon us with grace, mercy and love. Let’s exalt His holy name. Let everything within uspraise the Lord. Let’s tell of His goodness as long as His breath lives within us.

I am confident that by His grace, He who began this good work in our lives will bring it to completion on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, we will face trials and challenges in our walk with Him, but just like Nehemiah, let us depend on God’s grace to see us through. I am glad that He is our Father and He loves us. Let us love God and walk in His ways in total obedience. Again, I say rejoice in the Lord and praise the name of the Lord for His mercy endures forever.

Self-Reflection: Think of ways God has shown His faithfulness unto You.

Daily Confession: Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your unending love, and amazing grace.

Intercessory prayer: Pray that God will pour out His spirit upon all flesh in these last days.
