For God SO loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life – John 3:16 [NIV]

Bible Reading: I John 4:19

Love holds life, and life came into existence because of love and fellowship. It was love that made God sacrifice His Only Son – Jesus Christ. Love sacrifices. The measure of one’s love for something or someone is determined by how much one can sacrifice or let go in order to have that thing. Love is about making and giving. “For God SO loved that He gave…” What a great concept of love our heavenly Father revealed to us here. The God kind of love states that “love is defined by being selfless, giving and making”.

The truth is this: God has brought your way another opportunity to embrace His love by accepting Jesus Christ into your life for love is not complete except the other side embraces the gesture. Love is a gift that takes humility to accept for “…whosoever that believes will not perish but have everlasting life”. Dear friends, embrace this gift of life. How? accept that you are a sinner, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that Jesus took away your sin through his death and resurrection on the cross, forsake your evil ways and embrace Jesus.

Self-Reflection: Jesus loves me. Have I given my life to him? Do I love him in return?

Daily Confession: My Father in heaven, thank you for Your love; I know you truly love me and I choose to embrace your love in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Action Point: Make a decision right now for the journey to eternity starts now, accept Jesus Christ today, do not wait till tomorrow.

Intercessory prayer: Pray for anyone you know who is yet to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
