Serving God’s Purpose (IV)

But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15c

Bible Reading: Joshua 24:15-16

I choose to serve no one else but God. ‘What will I gain if I gain the world and loose my soul?’ You have to choose who you will serve, God or mammon? You have to choose who you will follow and obey Jesus or the flesh? You have to choose what fills you, the Holy Spirit or earthly lust? Ultimately, it’s the choice we make or the one we didn’t make. We have been given the power of free will and nothing can take it away from you except you choose to give it away by the choices we make or choose not to make. Choose to love because the love of God has been shed abroad in your heart. Like Joshua, choose to study, meditate on and live by God’s word (Joshua 1:8). Choose to show forth the light of every day. As for me and my household, we choose to follow Jesus everyday of our life (Joshua 24:15).

Daily Confession: I choose to serve God and His  purpose in my generation in Jesus’ name.

Intercessory prayer: Pray for God’s strength for leading, wisdom and grace for teachers in your city, province/state and country.
