Stay In There… (IV)

Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. (Acts 20:32, NIV)

Bible Reading: Exodus 33

Everything else may fail, but God’s word cannot fail because His word is yea and amen (1 Corinthians 1:20). When we choose to stay in His presence by reading and meditating on His word and praying, we are activating God’s word. Our Bible reading today is about Moses. Moses needed nothing but God’s presence. He told God that he won’t leave except for God’s presence to abide with him and the people of Israel. He tarried in God’s presence. Moses was the kind of person who would abide in the shekinah glory of the Lord. While the children of Israel were afraid to come closer to the presence of God due to uncleanliness and sin, Moses would consecrate himself to the Lord (Deuteronomy 5:22-27; Exodus 33:7-11). Dear friends, if you truly want to stay in God’s presence and you desire His presence to be with you, you have to come as you are but not remain the way you came. Embrace holiness and righteousness. Abide in God, and your life will be transformed.

Action Point: Spend extra time seeking the Lord today.

Intercessory prayer: Pray for the authorities piloting the affairs of your children’s schools (such as school boards, school districts etc) for righteousness to prevail. Pray for wisdom to make godly decisions so that your children can be trained in the way of the Lord.

Hymn: Wait for the Lord, whose day is near.

Wait for the Lord: be strong, take heart!
