The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14 (NIV)

Like Jesus Christ told his disciples, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit is with us. In fact, the name Emmanuel speaks of God’s ever abiding Presence – God with us (Matthew 1:23). It is amazing that the Holy Spirit seeks that we fellowship with Him every second because He is the Spirit/breathe of God; He is our Teacher, Counsellor, Advocate, Energizer, and Helper. He is a person and not some feelings. This truth should help us in defining and understanding our relationship and connection to Him.

Apostle Paul completed his epistles with the foundational truth which our faith lies upon; that is: the grace made available by the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God that made Him give His only begotten Son and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit which will continually abide with us in the right atmosphere of righteousness and holiness forever. Anytime I read this, I tremble because there is so much about being a Christian that seem oblivious to many. A Christian should be a carrier of God’s Presence; a custodian of God’s words because he has become the temple of God. No wonder Apostle Paul says that we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us (2 Corinthians 4:7). Thus, we are to continually present our bodies holy unto the Lord, be committed to renewing our minds via the word of God (Romans 12:1-3) and be devoted worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).

At KSi, we encourage you to examine these words beyond the ritual of benediction but as the truth, and foundation that summarizes the Christian faith and allow these words take you deeper in God. Therefore, may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Action Point: As from today, say these words with understanding.

Daily Confession: Lord thank You for the riches that I have in You in Jesus name. Help me to cultivate the right atmosphere for the Holy Spirit so that I can enjoy the fullness of God’s provision in Christ Jesus. Amen.
