The Knowledge of Jesus Christ
For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.(2 Peter 1:3, AMP)
Bible Reading: Philippians 3:7-10
In the kingdom of God, the rising and effectiveness of God’s children are dependent on our knowledge of Jesus and His provisions for us. This is exactly what Prophet Isaiah speaks about in Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.”  Our knowledge of Jesus is crucial to the extent that Apostle Paul had to pray for the Ephesians, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: he eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints” (Ephesians 1:17-18). There are many benefits attached to knowing Jesus. First, the gift of salvation and eternal life (John 3:16). Also, Daniel says, “they that know their God shall be strong and they shall do exploit” (Daniel 11:32b). Many Christians are suffering today because of ignorance, they lack knowledge of who Jesus is and who they are in Him. They cannot boldly address situations because of knowledge deficits. Dear friends, I encourage you to invest time in studying and meditating on God’s word. The Bible contains truth and revelation about Jesus and the Holy Spirit will reveal Jesus to you.
Daily Confession: I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: he eyes of my understanding being enlightened; that I may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints” (Ephesians 1:17-18).
Intercessory prayer: Pray for patience for this generation to tarry in God’s presence for their hunger to know Jesus to be satisfied in Jesus name, amen.
Hymn: Knowing you, Jesus
knowing You
There’s no greater thing
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
And I love You, Lord.
