The Knowledge of Jesus Christ  (I)

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (Hosea 4:6, NKJV)

Bible Reading: Philippians 3:7-10

Today’s memory scripture is clear about ignorance. Knowledge destroys and knowledge preserves (Ecclesiastes 7:12). Both ignorance and knowledge have implications. Applied knowledge is wisdom. Of wisdom, the Bible says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7), wisdom is portable to direct (Ecclesiastes 10:10)

Pursuing right knowledge is crucial to flying high in life. The Bible says, “an intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” (Proverbs 18:15). Dear friends, pursue growth seriously. Seek the right knowledge. Pursue Jesus with the whole of your heart. Like the Apostle Paul encouraged his son in the Lord, Timothy, I encourage you to “study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).”

Daily Confession: I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: he eyes of my understanding being enlightened; that I may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints” (Ephesians 1:17-18).

Intercessory prayer: Pray for patience for this generation to tarry in God’s presence for their hunger to know Jesus to be satisfied in Jesus’ name, amen.
