The Resurrection Power (IV)
Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied. (Matthew 5:6, AMP)
Bible Reading: Acts 3:1-10
The wonder-working power of God is alive and active. His power is indescribable. How would you explain the parting of the Red Sea if not for the power of God? What about the Wall of Jericho that fell down flat? Many prophets performed miracles by the power of God. And Jesus raised the bar both in the miracles He did and in His expectations for believers. Although we may not have experienced this power, that does not mean it does not exist. In fact, we need to stop denying or dumbing down the power of God because God’s power is real. Rather we are the ones to contend for the manifest presence of God so that in our time and in our generation, we can experience the raw power of God. After the Pentecost, Peter and John experienced the power of God in a new dimension. Through them, God raised a lame man at the Beautiful gate. How do we bring such an experience? Like Jesus’ word on the Mount, we have to hunger and thirst for righteousness. As Christians, we have to seek God’s face in one accord and patiently hope for His manifestation in our midst. Dear friends, I encourage you to seek God wholeheartedly. It is the cry of my heart that we can declare like the Psalmist: “As the deer pants [longingly] for the water brooks, So my soul pants [longingly] for You, O God. My soul (my life, my inner self) thirsts for God, for the living God. When will I come and see the face of God?” (Psalm 42:1-2, AMP).
Daily Confession: I pray for God’s resurrection power to manifest in my life in Jesus’ name.
Intercessory prayer: Let the resurrection power be evident in our homes in the name of Jesus. Lord, I pray for revival over my city in Jesus’ name.
Hymn: He’s alive (x2)

Jesus is alive.
