You Are Blessed (I)
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Number 6:24-26
Bible Reading: Numbers 22-23
To be blessed is to be divinely endued with grace for exploit. It is a divine empowerment for the manifestation of God’s desire for you. It also means calling forth God’s power and grace to partner with you so that His kingdom can come over your life. God is a good Father who wants His children to be blessed and He does everything to make it happen because God’s thought towards you are of good and not of evil to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Despite the fact that the heart of man is desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9-10), God’s plan prevails and He is interested and invested in blessing you. The Bible is a book of blessing with amazing stories of God’s exceeding blessings and by His sovereignty, He mercifully intervene in the affairs of man. An example of God’s blessing is in our Bible reading today. The children of Israel pitched their tent in the plains of Moab and Balak, the son of Zippor saw what the Israelites did to the Amorites and as the king of the Moabites, Balak was afraid of the Israelites because they were many. Balak sought the service of Balaam to curse the children of Israel. Thank God for when He blesses no one can curse. Despite Balak’s plan, Balaam could only bless the children of Israel. In fact, it became obvious that God’s people are blessed and that’s God’s verdict. For someone reading this devotional today, I declare the blessings of God upon you in the name of Jesus. To receive God’s blessings, you have to align to God’s ways. “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. (Deuteronomy 28:1-2 KJV). Dear friend, yield to God’s love today by accepting Jesus Christ into your life and you will see God’s blessing upon your life.
Daily Confession: I am blessed in Jesus name. My life experience God’s exceeding greatness and blessings in every aspect of my life. Every curse is taken away because Jesus took the curse away on the cross of Calvary.
Intercessory prayer: Declare God’s blessings over your church, city and colleagues.
Hymn: Lord lift me up and let me stand
By faith on heaven stable land
Higher plain that I am found
Lord plant my feet on higher ground.
